Look at some of the ways CRMC of Monterey County has contributed to our community...

 

CRMC of Monterey County is a non-profit educational and service instituate decated to inegrating the principles of conflict resolution and mediation for the resolution of disputes.  CRMC of Monterey County was founded in 1986, and since that time we have worked to develop a unique approach to conflict resolution, and Mediation through introductory and advance training programs for thousands of professionals.   CRMC of Monterey County's unique hands-on environment provides our tranied service providers the ability to expand and sharpen their skills, thereby increasing their individual tool boxes while providing much needed services to residents of Monterey County.

 

In 1987, CRMC of Monterey County designed and established an Administrative Adjudication Program known as Panetta's Rental Housing Lease Indemnity Program for Active Duty Military families.  CRMC of Monterey County not only developed the process, but established the standards, rules and regulations, timelines acessing services, but also assisted in the amendment of the Federal Soldiers and Saliors Relief Act.   The program was initially ran as a pilot program at the Fort Ord Military Base, while the nation debated and pass the program on the Congressional flour, and that program is still operational internationaly on military bases througout the world.

 

In 1988, CRMC of Monterey County was the received on the highest civilian award for substantial leadership contributions from the Department of Defense known as the "Commander's Award for Public Service."

 

CRMC of Monterey County was chosen as a representative of the west coast to represent the United States as delegate agency to Russia, as a valued Alternative Dispute Resolution Service Provider.   To date CRMC of Monterey County continues to maintain a calloborative relationship with our Russian counterparts.

 

CRMC of Monterey County also assisted in the development of Administrative Adjudication Program of Monterey County established when the State of California decriminalized parking violations.   The worked and still provides direct services for hearing and disposition of contested parking violations throught many of the jurisdictions within Monterey County.

 

CRMC of Monterey County was assigned to mediate the issues among a Native American Indian tribe who had sought relief thourgh the court system that mediation was succussful in the reunification of the tribe.   This marked the only successful resolution allowing the tribial membership to continue to seek their federal re-recognition thereby supporting the many member familes their right to seek and confirm their cultural indentities. 

 

CRMC of Monterey County has demonstrated the capacity to reorient individuals towards finding solutions, which allows them to achieve a new and shared perception of their issues, which defines CRMC of Monterey County foundation and principle.   CRMC of Monterey County programs contributes to building stronger, healthier, and safer communities, while ofering real solutions to real problems...
